This is the course about Information Literacy in grades 4-8 and 9-12.
- We are guessing that you already use Google: you type in a word or two, look through the first two or three pages that are offered, and if you are lucky, you find what you are looking for. Do you know that there are many techniques for improving your odds of finding what you are looking for on the Internet in a more timely manner? We will discover that there IS life beyond Google.
- You have been using the SMART Board and now you want to learn more. It is time to jazz up your lessons. Be the Sage-on-the-Stage no longer. Develop student-centered, interactive lessons that will get your students up out of their seats and actually communicating about learning. This course is an intermediate course designed for staff who have been effectively using the SMART Board in their classroom. You should already know how to use the Notebook Gallery. After completing this course participants will have shared interactive lessons based on the Technology Standards for your discipline and will be posting the lessons online for all.
